China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited was established in 1995 and is headquartered in Shanghai, China. Since the first scheduled services began, the airlines grew rapidly, developing a comprehensive route network to become one of the largest airlines in China with more than 40 sales offices across the country. In July 1998, China Eastern Airlines and COSCO jointly established China Cargo Airlines Limited, which specialised in the air freight business to further enhance our position in air cargo transportation.  With the acquisition of China Northwestern Airlines and Yunnan Airlines, China Eastern Airlines had entered a new era of fast development and expansion. In addition to its main airlines business, the group is involved in general aviation, import and export trade, food, tourism, real estate, and media.

As of June 2005, it operated 116 aircraft including 108 passenger jet aircrafts and 8 jet freighters. The company also operated a total of 221 routes on domestics and international cities linking to Asia, Europe, America and Australia. China Eastern Airlines has all time made its efforts to provide superb quality services to its passengers and cargo products.
