China Eastern Airlines introduces fifth flight into Heathrow.

London, 30 January 2006

Just under two years after the introduction of London service, China Eastern Airlines already announces the introduction of its 5th frequency on Sunday direct from Shanghai Pudong into London Heathrow Airport.

Flight Number: MU552 – London to Shanghai

Day of Operations: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

The fifth service will begin operational from 26 March 2006.

China Eastern Airlines fuel surcharge update.

London, 06 February 2006

Due to the further increase in fuel prices China Eastern Airlines decided to increase its fuel surcharge on all cargo shipments on 16 February 2006 to reflect the rising costs that China Eastern Airlines is exposed to.

The current level of the fuel surcharge will be adjusted to £ 0.34 per kilo for all shipments originating from the UK and € 0.50 per kilo for shipments originating from the Republic of Ireland.

The charge is based on actual weight and will be implemented across the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. This charge will remain in effect until further notice.
