The Airbus A340-300 is a wide bodied long range aircraft powered by 4 CFM56-5C engines used between London and Shanghai, capable of carrying approximately 20 tonnes of cargo in addition to a full passenger load, although this figure varies dependent upon the weather condition, performance and other related factors.

The forward hold can hold up to a maximum of 6 PMC/PAG Pallets or 18 AKE/AVE containers (compartments 1& 2) and the rear hold can hold up to a maximum of 3 PMC and 1 PAG pallets or 12 AKE/AVE containers (compartments 3 & 4). Compartment 5 is for the carriage of loose cargo.
